As chairman of foundation materials management for the Mayo Clinic, Francis is responsible for supply chain management strategy and direction.
He previously served as vice president of material services at BJC Healthcare in St. Louis. He is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, a member of the American Academy of Medical Administrators and a member of the Association of Healthcare Resource Materials Management.
In 1992, Francis was a recipient of an “Up and Comer” award from Modern Healthcare magazine. In 1994, he was named “Material Manager of the Year” by Healthcare Purchasing News magazine.
