Novation Signs Agreement with Cincinnati Sub-Zero Through Supplier Diversity Program

IRVING, TX; March 14, 2006 — Novation, the health care contracting services company of VHA Inc. and the University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC), has signed an agreement with Cincinnati Sub-Zero through its supplier diversity program. The agreement will begin April 1, 2006 and run through March 31, 2009.

Established in 1999, the Supplier Diversity Program creates opportunities for certified minority, women and veteran-owned manufacturers and distributors to do business with Novation. “Ensuring inclusion of minority, women and small veteran owned businesses is an integral part of Novation’s contracting strategy. This agreement is an example of the business case for supplier diversity because it offers significant savings for VHA and UHC members on quality products,” said Cathy Denning, senior director, contract and program services at Novation.

VHA and UHC members that purchase products from Cincinnati Sub-Zero will save between four and seven percent in aggregate on their current contract prices. Products in this agreement include water-circulated heating and cooling units; disposable warming blankets; localized heating units and pads; and disposable vests and pads.
