Novation Publishes VHA and UHC New Medical Technology Catalog
Catalog Will Highlight Innovative Medical Products at VHA Leadership Conference
IRVING, TX; May 22, 2006 — Novation, the health care contracting services company of VHA Inc. and University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC), publishes its second New Medical Technology Catalog to showcase Novation’s commitment to ensuring VHA and UHC member health care organizations have access to information about new and potentially innovative FDA-approved health care technology.
“The New Medical Technology Catalog offers members insight into products that are new to market and available on contract with Novation,” said Cathy Denning, senior director, contract and program services at Novation. It represents our ongoing commitment to identify and pursue contracts for those products that may offer incremental benefit to patient care and outcomes and to ensure that those new products are cost-effective for members”
Novation suppliers were invited to submit applications to highlight their most innovative products. The products had to meet the following criteria to be included in the catalog: 1. Available on VHA or Novation contract, 2. FDA-approved (if applicable), 3. Available for sale in the U.S. since January 1, 2003, 4. Provide documented incremental patient care, patient safety or health care worker safety benefits.
Novation has more than 700 suppliers and some of these suppliers will be exhibiting their products at the 23rd annual VHA Leadership Conference in St. Louis, May 21-24.
