Novation Names Leader for Supplier Diversity Program

IRVING, TX; May 23, 2006 — Committed to supporting the development of minority, women, and small veteran businesses that meet high quality standards, Novation, the contracting services company of VHA Inc. and the University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC), has hired Charles R. Brazil, Jr. as senior director, supplier diversity, to lead its supplier diversity program.

Brazil brings over 14 years of experience in human resources, labor relations, affirmative action programs, supplier diversity and supply chain operations.

Prior to joining Novation, Brazil served as corporate director, supplier diversity for Coca Cola Enterprises in Atlanta. He was responsible for the development and implementation of best-in-class supplier diversity strategies across the company’s North America bottling operations.

Brazil has also worked for Texaco, Inc. in several human resources and procurement functions where he was responsible for driving minority and women business development.

He is a member of the board of directors for Diversity Information Resources, Inc. and volunteers for many not-for-profit community organizations.

Brazil earned his bachelors of business administration degree from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. He and his wife, Daphne, and their two daughters will be relocating to the Dallas/Ft.Worth area from Atlanta.
