Novation Launches National Group Buy for Cardiovascular Equipment, Nuclear Medicine Equipment, Patient Beds & PET/CT Scanners

Providing Hospitals with Additional Savings and Value

IRVING, TX; May 1, 2007 — Novation, the health care contracting services company of VHA Inc. and the University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC), has launched its second group buy of the year effective now through July 31, 2007. The group buy includes the following categories and suppliers:

“Capital equipment is one of the biggest expense items in hospital budgets and we are always working to help hospitals reduce these costs. VHA and UHC members experience significant savings through Novation’s contract pricing, and they can experience even more savings by participating in the Group Buy Program,” said Denise Rubin, senior director, capital and facilities, at Novation.

Additional group buys will be announced throughout the year.
