Cowart Joins Novation as VP, Novation U.K.
IRVING, TX; November 1, 2007 Novation, the health care contracting services company of VHA Inc. and the University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC), has hired Randy Cowart as vice president of Novation U.K. Cowart officially joined Novation on Oct. 1, 2007.
In his new role, Cowart has responsibility for managing Novation’s procurement services agreement with DHL to deliver savings to the NHS in the U.K.
Eldon Petersen, group senior vice president for Novation, said “Randy’s extensive experience in strategic sourcing and general supply chain management, combined with his considerable international experience, make him an excellent individual to serve in this role.”
Cowart brings to Novation more than 30 years of international business, merchandising and procurement/supply chain management experience. Having most recently served as vice president, supply chain and procurement, for Sealy Corporation, Cowart also held senior positions with Wal-Mart, General Electric and Spring Industries as well as senior-level sourcing positions in Europe and Asia.
Cowart holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science/economics from the University of Missouri.
