Novation Launches Innovative Contracting Approach

New Program Created To Enhance High-Performance Contract Portfolio

IRVING, TX; March 31, 2008 — Novation, the health care contracting services company of VHA Inc. and the University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC), announced it has launched its innovative contracting strategy, Signature Supplier, developed to enhance the high-performance contract portfolio for participating VHA, UHC and Provista members and suppliers. Signature Suppliers commit, during the competitive contracting process, to work strategically with Novation to provide unequalled value to VHA, UHC and Provista members in the form of market best price and unique value beyond price.

Novation’s first Signature Supplier, ev3 Inc., is a global leader and best-in-class vascular and neurovascular product provider for specialists treating a wide range of vascular diseases and disorders. ev3 offers a comprehensive portfolio of treatment options, including interventional technologies such as PTA balloons, stents, atherectomy systems, embolic protection, neurovascular coils and liquid embolics.
