Novation Launches Environmentally Preferred Purchasing Web Portal

New Portal Strengthens Company Commitment and Supports Members’ Green Efforts

IRVING, TX; April 22, 2008 — Novation, the health care contracting services company of VHA Inc., University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC) and Provista, LLC, continues to position itself as an industry leader by introducing its new Environmentally Preferred Purchasing Web portal. Novation has highlighted nearly 300 environmentally preferred products (EPP) on contract and has created an EPP Readiness Checklist to help members purchase supplies that are environmentally friendly. The EPP contracts span all functional areas within a member facility. The portal is designed to support and inform members about the vital role that they can play in supporting green efforts at their organizations.

Novation is also encouraging its awarded suppliers to adopt practices and policies that meet the stringent standards on environmental stewardship.
