Novation Group Buy Offers Significant Savings and Financing Options For Siemens’ Definition Dual-Source and SOMATOM Definition AS CT’s
Members to realize a savings of more than 31 percent on these new technology products
IRVING, TX; July 10, 2008 Novation, the leading health care contracting services company of VHA Inc., University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC) and Provista, LLC, announced it has added the latest innovation in CT scanners the Siemens’ Definition Dual-Source CT and the just FDA approved SOMATOM Definition AS CT to its group buy. The buy offers savings of more than 31 percent on these new technology products, plus helps members offset capital equipment, reduced reimbursement and operational costs. Members also will receive an extended warranty or training, as well as financing options including no upfront costs and no payments for 90 days.
“The group buy savings of these two CT scanners is significant,” said Kelly Rodriguez, manager of capital assets at Novation. “The savings will help offset the high average selling prices for imaging equipment and reduced reimbursement for procedures which result from the federal deficit reduction act changes.”
Siemens’ Definition Dual-Source CT
Early reports show that the Definition Dual-Source CT helps reduce diagnostic time and average length of stay. These improvements in resource utilization and assessment time free up telemetry and inpatient beds leading to a 45-70 percent reduction in cost of care. A wide spectrum of systems at every price point is included Sensation 64, Sensation 40, Sensation 40 Open, Emotion 16 and Emotion 6.
SOMATOM Definition AS
The new system eliminates unnecessary overradiation. The Adaptive 4D Spiral mode of the SOMATOM Definition AS is able to address functional imaging (perfusion images of blood flow over time) of whole organs.
The SOMATOM Definition AS comes in multiple configurations, each tailored to a hospital's workflow and clinical needs. The technology couples multiple components in a dynamic manner: a large-volume coverage area with a 200-cm scan range and up to 300 msec rotation time, 78-cm gantry bore, and the ability to add a high-capacity 660-pound patient table.
The group buy for the CT scanners is effective July 1 through Sept. 30, 2008.
