Novation First To Have A National Agreement With Boston Scientific For The Promus™ Everolimus-Eluting Stent
IRVING, TX; July 14, 2008 Novation, the health care industry’s leading contracting services company of VHA Inc. and the University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC), today announced that it has added the Boston Scientific PROMUS everolimus-eluting stent to its national agreement. On contract with Novation the day after receiving Federal Drug Administration (FDA) approval, it is the newest cobalt drug-eluting coronary stent on the U.S. market.
PROMUS is immediately available in diameters of 2.5 mm, 2.75 mm, 3.0 mm, 3.5 mm and 4.0 mm. The available stent lengths are 8, 12, 15, 18, 23 and 28 mm. The device will be available in both rapid-exchange and over-the-wire delivery system designs.
The contract is effective July 3, 2008 - Sept. 30, 2010.
