Novation Launches First-Ever Validated Group Buy That Assures Members of Receiving Market Best Value
Siemens Surgical C-Arms Is First Category
IRVING, TX; September 16, 2008 Novation, the leading health care contracting services company of VHA Inc., University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC) and Provista, LLC, announced today that is has launched validated group buys. Leveraging the expertise of MD Buyline, an industry leader of research, information and consultation on capital expenditures and technology, members are assured market-best value to solve their capital equipment needs. All validated group buy offers are verified against MD Buyline’s database to provide best configuration pricing, performance and user satisfaction.
“We’ve removed the extra time-consuming and often costly steps of validating the value of capital equipment purchases on our members’ behalf,” said Kelly Rodriguez, Novation, capital asset manager. “We also perform a final assessment to be certain that the packaged offering provides the best possible member value.’
In addition to not requiring members to pre-commit to purchases, validated group buys benefit members by:
- offering both market-best value on single-item purchases and additional value on multiple- item purchases
- selecting product categories based on research of more than 1,300 members’ planned capital purchases
- aggregating members’ planned purchases during a 90-day time frame
- providing MD Buyline price analysis reports and final purchase order validations at no cost
- streamlining the member acquisition process for validated group buy categories, thereby further reducing purchasing costs
The new generation Siemens C-arm is the first product to be part of this new strategy and is part of the period 4 Group Buy, effective September 1, 2008, through November 30, 2008.
