Novation Honors More Than 130 Member Hospitals for Achievements through Standardization
Annual Participation Leader and Executive Savings Awards Recipients Announced
IRVING, TX; December 8, 2008 — Novation, the leading health care contracting services company of VHA Inc., University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC) and Provista, LLC, announced today the winners of its newly created Standardization Program Awards . The annual award program has two categories, The Participation Leader Award and The Executive Savings Award. Each award category recognizes a specific achievement through Novation’s Standardization Program. This year, Novation honored more than 130 member hospitals for their participation in the Novation Standardization Program.
“Standardizing on products has great cost saving benefits, but is not always the easiest thing to accomplish in a health care organization. This award recognizes those members that have successfully implemented standardization strategies through Novation’s program and achieved substantial savings for their organizations without negatively impacting the care they provide their patients,” said Kathy Harlan, senior director Novation standardization programs. “We look forward to honoring members for their accomplishments each spring.”
The Participation Leader Award recognizes those participating institutions that have successfully implemented all 9 of Novation’s Standardization Program offerings. There were 74 members who received the award.
The Executive Savings Award recognizes those members who have cumulatively saved over a quarter million dollars in rebates. By maximizing standardization opportunities, members increase the amount of rebates they receive through the Novation Standardization Program. There were 57 members that were recognized with the Executive Savings Award.
The winners each received a commemorative award for display.
