NEWS RELEASE
Novation Awards a New Technology Agreement to NeoMatrix, Inc.
IRVING, TX; January 12, 2010 – Novation, the supply contracting company of VHA Inc, University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC) and Provista, announced that it has awarded a new technology agreement for the HALO® Breast Pap Test to NeoMatrix, Inc. (Irvine, CA).
Products include:
- HALO Console
- HALO Cart
- HALO Patient Interface Cassette
- HALO Disposable Sample Collection Cups
The agreements are effective October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2012. The contract has an initial three-year term with two one-year extension options, with firm pricing for the initial term.
HALO is an innovative office-based system that helps primary care doctors assess their patients’ risk of developing breast cancer, allowing women at increased risk to be screened more frequently and with methods that are more effective at detecting small, early-stage tumors. HALO is most useful in asymptomatic women 25 and older, many of whom are too young for effective mammograms or breast exams. Most women who are diagnosed with breast cancer have no risk factors that are identifiable using today’s risk assessment tools, and go unnoticed until a lump is felt or found on a screening mammogram. The purpose of HALO is to do more than wait for a lump.
