Novation Expands Supplier Diversity Portal Allows For Contracted and Non-Contracted Products to Be Promoted Online
IRVING, TX; February 22, 2010 – Novation, the leading health care contracting supply company, has expanded its supplier diversity portal to allow contracted and non-contracted diverse suppliers to promote their products. Diverse businesses will be able to promote their products on Novation’s public Web site regardless of their contracted position with Novation. Most importantly, the members of VHA Inc, University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC) and Provista will be able to use advanced technology to source for diverse suppliers that could benefit their supply chain.
“Supplier diversity continues to be a driving force within health care,” said Lamont Robinson, senior director of supplier diversity at Novation. “Our new site adds to the innovative spirit we continue to seek for our supplier diversity program. Through the usage of this new site, Novation is trying to make it easier for all organizations to source for diverse suppliers supporting the healthcare sector.”
Novation recognizes the importance of a strong supplier diversity program to members and is dedicated to economic development of small businesses as well as minority- women- and veteran-owned business enterprises, or MWVBEs that meet high-quality product standards. These companies are an integral part of the supply chain management process and are a function of Novation’s normal purchasing and procurement processes. The new portal will highlight MWVBEs in specific product segments as well as include detailed product information and was developed by Novation’s web development team.
