Novation is committed to encouraging and supporting the development of minority, women and small veteran (veteran, disabled veteran, service-disabled veteran) business enterprises (MWVBEs) that meet high quality standards. The members we serve are committed to economic development in their communities and require qualified MWVBEs to be developed and utilized as suppliers to Novation where appropriate.

Potential MWVBE suppliers and distributors will provide appropriate credentials verifying their classification as a minority, woman or small veteran-owned business.

Access to a wide variety of MWVBE suppliers and distributors available through a database will allow greater supplier choice for the members we serve. This database will enable tracking of contracted activity to aid members' measurements of their respective organizational commitments and help the members meet regulatory reporting requirements.

Supplier Diversity Agreements

Novation's Supplier Diversity Program includes purchasing and medical-surgical distribution agreements.

Upon request, Novation can customize exclusive, locally negotiated medical-surgical distribution agreements for any member that would like to purchase Novation-contracted products or noncontract products through a MWVBE medical-surgical distributor.

Members should refer potential MWVBE suppliers and distributors to Novation for further information. Please access Novation's Bid/Proposal Calendar for product categories and the appropriate product managers for individual contracts.

Corporate Policy

Novation will provide business opportunities for qualified minority, women and small veteran-owned businesses. Novation is committed to the inclusion of these minority, women and small veteran-owned businesses as an integral part of its supply cost efforts. Through the Supplier Diversity Program, Novation recognizes its responsibility to VHA and UHC members, the communities that it serves, and the society in which it conducts its business. The use of minority, women and small veteran-owned businesses must be a function of our normal purchasing and supply chain management process and as is customary, no potential supplier will be precluded from consideration based on race, color, religion, sex, age or national origin.
